Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese
Yeah, literally speaking we were Happy Everyday ‘coz of Happy Lemon. Ha-ha. For 3-day straight P, Z and I had the best seller and our favorite Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. For Day 1 we had it at Happy Lemon, Promenade Greenhills branch, then for Day 2 at Happy Lemon, 3rd level SM Megamall branch and for Day 3 we had it at Greenhills once again, since Z is doing a last hurrah shopping before leaving the country and back home in Australia.

Well, if you have someone special or loved ones that coming over here in the Philippines and Happy Lemon is not available in their country then I strongly suggest that you bring them to Happy Lemon and let them try the best seller Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese. We just did, Z (P’s cousin) is an extra mile happier with her experience with Happy Lemon. I must say something that she surely craves for every time he remembers it.

How about you ladies and gentlemen, what’s your favorite in Happy Lemon that makes you happy?

Happy Monday! Start the week right. *wink*
Take Care! Xoxo.

Another innovation has come for Jollibee in partnership with BPI, a cashless payment to Jollibee Food Corporation, Group of Companies – Happy Plus Card. It was my first time to get an invite from Jollibee Food Corporation to witness another milestone for their witness. So, it’s a big YES even though I have work that time, hmm... spent my lunch break on this event.

Moving forward, I’ve been seeing this “Happy Plus Tap Here” machine whenever I ate at Jollibee for months now. But then, last July 9, 2012 (for press release read it here) the two proudly pinoy companies introduced the cashless payment with rewards card in the country.
Paying your order by using Happy Plus Card
Jollibee Food Corporation Chairman and CEO Tony Tan Caktiong and BPI President Aurelio Montinola led the ceremonies of introducing the Happy Plus Card to the public which happened at Jollibee Mind Museum, Bonifacio Global City.
A ceremony filled with a fun environment because Jollibee the mascot was also present to be with us and did some photo ops with the distinguished guest from BPI, Jollibee Food Corporation, bloggers and press people while enjoying sumptuous meals from Jollibee such as Yum Burger, Spaghetti, Peach Mango Pie and more.
Afterwards, a challenging amazing race was held to experience the cashless payment by using the Happy Plus Card and to enjoy its rewards. I don’t have any photos though because I am one of the game participant and of course having Az, Ted and FPJ in the group made us WON… tan.. tara.. na-nan… a Happy Plus Card with P500 worth of load. Yay! We ended up the amazing race game with a Happy Plus Card tagline “Bilis ng Bayad, Sarap ng Rewards!”
HAPPY PLUS Card is JFC’s customer loyalty program that rewards members with points everytime you eat in Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon and soon to be Mang Inasal establishments in Metro Manila. So, it is a cashless payment because all you have to do is to tap your card to the machine and voila you have paid your meals plus you also have rewards wherein accumulated rewards can be used as a payment or for redeeming free food items.

I remembered my childhood days with Ma Mon Luk’s Siopao because Mom always had some siopao as her pasalubong to us – her kiddos! – whenever she’s been in Quiapo. And, it’s been a while since I last visited and ate at Ma Mon Luk Restaurant in Quiapo, Manila City. So, when P and I attended mass last last Friday at Quiapo Church we see to it that we had our merienda in Ma Mon Luk.

Years have passed and yet everything stays the same. The taste of siopao paired with flavorful soup still the best in town. The mami with lots of toppings still taste good. The interior design of the restaurant looks old but then the taste of the foods they were serving are still succulent as the time goes by.

Three generations have succeeded already since the Ma Mon Luk’s death on September 21, 1961. If you are a food tripper then I would highly suggest that you have to try Ma Mon Luk’s Mami and Siopao, a restaurant that is already written in the history and still stands out because of its consistent scrumptious taste.

As of this writing, Ma Mon Luk has only two branches – Quezon Boulevard, Quiapo and Banawe, Quezon Ave.

Ooops, it’s raining... Ma Mon Luk’s Mami is absolutety perfect at this moment.

Have a fun and great weekend!
